Code Examples
Python Example (using httpx)
async def create_whitelist_entries(
user_id: str,
chat_id: int,
share_id: int,
emails: List[str],
session_cookie: str
) -> CreateWhitelistResponse:
async with httpx.AsyncClient() as client:
response = await client.post(
f"https://neptun-webui.vercel.app/api/users/{user_id}/chats/{chat_id}/shares/{share_id}/whitelist-entries",
json={"emails": emails},
cookies={"neptun-session": session_cookie}
)
response.raise_for_status()
return CreateWhitelistResponse(**response.json())
cURL Example
curl -X POST \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-H "Cookie: neptun-session=your-session-cookie" \
-d '{
"emails": ["user1@example.com", "user2@example.com"]
}' \
"https://neptun-webui.vercel.app/api/users/your-user-id/chats/123/shares/456/whitelist-entries"
TypeScript/JavaScript Example (using fetch)
async function createWhitelistEntries(
userId: string,
chatId: number,
shareId: number,
emails: string[]
): Promise<CreateWhitelistResponse> {
const response = await fetch(
`https://neptun-webui.vercel.app/api/users/${userId}/chats/${chatId}/shares/${shareId}/whitelist-entries`,
{
method: 'POST',
headers: {
'Content-Type': 'application/json',
},
body: JSON.stringify({ emails }),
credentials: 'include', // Important for cookie handling
}
)
if (!response.ok) {
throw new Error(`HTTP error! status: ${response.status}`)
}
return await response.json() as CreateWhitelistResponse
}
Response Status Codes
Status Code | Description |
---|---|
200 | Whitelist entries successfully created |
400 | Invalid request body |
401 | Unauthorized (invalid or missing session) |
404 | Share, chat, or user not found |
500 | Server error |
Notes
- The session cookie is required for authentication
- The requesting user is automatically added to the whitelist
- Non-existent email addresses are silently ignored
- Only registered users' email addresses can be whitelisted
- Multiple entries can be created in a single request
- Duplicate emails are handled gracefully
